New Deal for the Music Industry

Are you a musician, artist, publisher or record company working with instrumental music?
If so you will have seen Google and YouTube open new markets to showcase your work. You will have seen download taking over the music business and if you are tuned in we expect that you will understand that what has happened to the music industry today will happen with video and film included tomorrow if you want to reach the mass market. As technology moves on who will want music without pictures in the future, when every medium comes with a screen - televisions - ipods - telephones etc etc.

THE PROBLEM THE SOLUTION
JP_TJ 2 The problem with being the creative element of the instrumental musical art is many. Record companies wont make instrumental music videos so you cant get onto popular music channels, radio wont play your music unless you are old or dead and even if none of these apply you will get charged for the cost of video production - and probably never get your money back. Become part of the LandscapeHD Channel production team creating the DVDs that are sold as a way of funding the channel. LandscapeHD is not funded by advertising but sells DVDs of instrumental music featuring the beauty of the natural world.  We are now working in the larger1080 format and are looking for creative music for our film producers to synchronise.
THE DEAL
We pay our music and film rights owners 50% of what we receive after the cost of production and distribution. That is 25% to the film provider/rights owners and 25% goes to the music/record company/publishers rights owners which we synchronise to. We also pay the same for download which is where we expect future revenue to be greatest, because download can deliver our LandscapeHD synchronised clips anywhere in the world instantly. In the past seventeen years we have never deleted a title from our library and broadcast clips from them every day promoting them.

RIGHTS

LandscapeHD acquires the non exclusive right to synchronise the music you supply to our film, which we also acquire from film rights owners or shoot ourselves by commission.  We do not therefore seek to interfere in the normal relationship or in any way prejudice what you may seek to achieve as an artist/producer. Indeed it is our intention to seek to advance your profitability by making your music a household name and providing an outlet for our type of music in every home we can. In granting us those rights you will participate in revenue from our use for as long as LandscapeHD sells those DVDs.
We pay you direct using the CDBaby type business model that is taking the independent music scene by storm. You get accounted to direct, quickly and honestly based upon the amount we receive. It is your responsibility to pay for any royalties due to third parties. These might include artists, composers, record companies, publisher, producers, musicians or orchestras to name but a few. We also sell our productions via download paying the same rates to music and film rights owners. The finished production is owned by us and will always be broadcast with the music and artist credit. Our click through desk top IPTV version of LandscapeHD due out shortly will allow users to click through to the point of sale directly from their desktop. This will allow the addition of further publisher credits related to the productions at that time. We intend to licence our DVDs for retail store sale at a future point.

Where we earn revenue from exploitation the rights owners get 50% of what we earn as a principal and you will not find better we are sure.

HIGH DEFINITION FUTURE
Cool blue canned water
LandscapeHD offers you the opportunity to become involved in a new revenue stream that has the potential to become a massive new market - click-through to sale, directly from your television and desktop. Unlike any other form of video production you can participate in royalties without the cost of the production being charged to you by the record company or a third party production company.
High Definition is where the television industry is going and we are looking for the world's best instrumental artists and composers to make their music available in High Definition LandscapeHD video format now.

In the past the major barrier to sales of instrumental music outside of the USA has been the inability to get stores to stock instrumental music that they could not hear on the radio. Now the barrier to store access can be broken and LandscapeHD will market your name through our DVD products and also link back to your own web site through our information pages in our IPTV/desktop version.

LandscapeHD is rapidly becoming a music retailer selling music as a means of growing. In the past instrumental music makers needed to have a major record label in order to get their products in front of the public. Now LandscapeHD offers you the ability to market your name and products at no cost, plus the added advantage of royalty payments that reflect a fair relationship between the creator and the retailer who sells the product.  We wouldn't call ourselves a shopping channel but its the nearest thing we can think of that explains how we work. Take a detailed look around our site for more information about who else is involved in making LandscapeHD a great channel for instrumental music.
