The LandscapeHD State of Mind

This page deals with the issues of how to fund a LandscapeHD production and where the money goes that LandscapeHD receives from its distributors and how you can get your money back and turn a profit.

The LandscapeHD State of Mind

LandscapeHD will shortly be available free as the Internet version world-wide
or available through a distributor who may charge for the service without any advertising. LandscapeHD uses the money that it receives to pay it's overheads and make new productions. Our reason to exist is to deliver the LandscapeHD service to a world audience furthering our particular artistic endeavours.

We do not therefore have to consider shareholders interests, using all funds that we receive in the way we consider best for LandscapeHD's growth. We acquire rights when funds are available and in a familiar famine and feast world of television distribution sometimes survive at close to
extinction level. A state of mind that many artists will relate to.

Any artist worth his or her salt, who works in our world of instrumental music, in all its formats, should relate to LandscapeHD and those who work here. It will therefore come as no surprise to realise that we rarely pay more than a nominal sum for the world-wide non exclusive rights to
synchronise music to images. We believe that it is right that those who supply the music should be satisfied with receiving performance royalties on a world-wide basis, from the Performing Rights Societies

These organisations collect royalties from LandscapeHD's distributors and distribute them every six months to those artists and publishers who are featured in our broadcasts.

Those artists who make the type of music that LandscapeHD uses and who relate to our film production, as an expression of that music, will become more than just another instrumental music composer. They become LandscapeHD featured artists.  [More...]
