This section explains in more detail the credits and sponsorship currently available in making LandscapeHD films.  For more information contact the webmaster.

Credits and Sponsorship

CREDITS
LandscapeHD is moving away from simple broadcasting to Internet delivered television. This means that in the past we have been limited to a twelve second onscreen text based credit. This credit gave the following information only:

+ Title of music

+ Name of Artist/Composer
+ Name of CD or DVD from which
    the music is taken
+ Logo of record company

Now LandscapeHD is able to incorporate a lot more information into the data files. This information may be extracted by facilities which LandscapeHD plans to incorporate into the interactive facilities available through Internet services currently under development. These include the following additional features:

  • Direct links from the player to click through to purchase the relevant product directly from the LandscapeHD store
  • Web site of the artist, composer or record label.
  • Names of publishers and songwriters in the media player datafile.

SPONSORSHIP

LandscapeHD is introducing sponsorship opportunities as a means of funding productions. Unlike other marketing opportunities LandscapeHD offers viewers a low stress environment without conventional advertising breaks.

LandscapeHD is
therefore making it possible for a sponsor to receive a credit on a particular LandscapeHD film every time that particular film is shown. This is in effect a method of becoming part of the LandscapeHD library presentation on a world-wide basis.

Every time that film is shown in the LandscapeHD IP television format (LandscapeHD Channel, Dentist Channel, Doctors Channel see the branded networks, the sponsor receives an onscreen credit.

This credit is part of the normal presentation process appearing during the twelve second title bar sequence. However because LandscapeHD has no normal television advertising the impact of the sponsor credit is far greater.

Indeed the creative nature of advertising allows truly innovative links between the visual art form and the sponsors name. 

As an example our first sponsored film is entitled "The Glory of the Olive".  An extract from that film can be seen here featuring the natural beauty of an olive grove in Greece. The punch line, in advertising terms, is the delivery of a sponsors company name on the title bar at the end of the film. This credit is unexpected, a novel allegiance between advertisers product, nature and the alignment to a household olive oil product.

The impact of such a sponsorship arrangement is far more valuable than a thirty second advertising campaign and a lot less expensive. As a result of being in our library for a guaranteed five years regular use LandscapeHD viewers will associate the particular product with the attributes of LandscapeHD as a ""green" and ""environmentally sound" channel. Permanent positioning on the title bar of the film is just part of the appeal. The product association is much closer than normal television presentation, because the subject of the film is sympathetically and environmentally linked to the product on a long term basis.

 
Due to the nature of LandscapeHD films there can only be one olive oil company sponsorship opportunity. Once that position is filled we cannot feature another olive tree film and as such the sponsor's position is to operate in an exclusive environment.

LandscapeHD seeks to engage the minds of the  creative advertising industry. Clearly those creative minds already understand you can sell Guinness by showing films of white horses, where the visual imagery is stunning.

 
LandscapeHD seeks to bring a new innovation to the screen whereby LandscapeHD films take upon themselves a new dimension in lateral thinking. Advertising agencies who are interested in this concept should make direct contact with LandscapeHD.

Those who are involved in film making should seek to engage a sponsor in their activities, as a means of funding new productions where ever possible. 

The addition of a sponsorship credit brings a new dimension to LandscapeHD where the buttercups video becomes a five minute exclusive sponsorship opportunity for butter, the bubbles video becomes a sponsorship opportunity for bubble bath and the Port Merion video becomes an opportunity for the Welsh Tourist Board.
